Long-lasting silkiness
Advertorial
Do you find it’s hard to achieve and manage beautiful hair that lasts all day? Especially with Singapore’s humid weather like this, creating undesirable frizz and flyaway, having silky-smooth hair would seem almost unattainable.
Now, it’s actually just a step away to achieving what you want with the New ASIENCE Leave-On Hair Treatment range.
Containing ASIENCE’s exclusive Beauty Essences (Lotus Flower, Camellia Oil, Pearl and Shell Ginger Leaf), the range provides intensive repair and moisturises hair from within. Enhanced with a hair ‘veiling’ ingredient, ASIENCE’s advanced Moisture-Lock Complex retains moisture to give long-lasting smoothness and manageability. This range comes in three different formats:
- ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil (28ml) – Concentrated yet non-oily, it intensively repairs and retains moisture to keep hair glossy and healthy.
- ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Milk (100ml) – Nourishing yet non-greasy, it instantly repairs and retains moisture to keep hair beautifully soft and healthy.
- ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Water (200ml) – Light as water, it instantly repairs and retains moisture without weighing your hair down.
This range retails at $14.90 each.

I would love to give away a few products from this range to my readers. Giveaway ends next Monday 29 April at 1pm (ENDED). Just leave a comment here and share with me your hair condition. Don’t forget to leave your email as well and I will be contacting you the lucky ones. Good luck and enjoy the confidence that lasts all day!

With baby love
Sorry for the lack of updates this month. I just came back from Bangkok and I was there to spend time with a family for a week plus.
The best thing about this trip was a great surprise I gave to my family. And Terena was their surprises. None of them (except for my second elder brother) were expecting me to be in Bangkok this month but in June. Furthermore, they did not expect me to bring Terena baby along to see them! You have no ideas how crazy they are over her. I’m no longer my dad’s most favorite girl but it’s okay as long as it’s Terena. haha. I wish I could share with you all their face expression when they came home and saw Terena in a living room. Speechless. Funny. But most importantly, all happy, so am I. If you follow my instagram you should already saw some of my dad pictures with Terena. Then you can easily tell how happy he was. Love is amazing.
We were there during Thailand’s Songkran festival period and many places were closed, except for the shopping malls. Too bad for me as I wanted to do street shopping. But well, there were no traffic jams during that time at least. My family and I didn’t want to get into water flight this year plus Terena is way too small for that. In a few years time maybe.
Anyway, Terena and I did our first photo shoot together this trip. It was one of the most challenging photo shoots I ever had because of her. You think about it. It’s not easy to shoot babies right? However, I think Terena did way better than I thought during that 4 hours with a short nap around 30 minutes. Here are some Behind-the-Scenes shots.
Getting ready with my favorite Thai makeup artist. Thank you for teaching me some great tips on makeup! I want to share that with you ladies soon.
While waiting for my makeup to be done, they started shooting Terena alone first. See how many people were needed by her side to ensure her safety. Because she couldn’t sit up by herself yet. Look at the smiles on their faces as well. I think that’s lovely.
Mummy and baby shots.
And mummy solo shots while Terena baby was taking her peaceful nap.
Some of you might want to know where we did the shoot. It was at Agalico, located at Sukhumvit 51. This is where you enjoy a good cup of tea and yummy cakes with great atmosphere. It’s all white and bright, that’s what I love. They also have a beautiful garden at the back.
Thank you photography team and makeup/hair team for your great work. A special thank you to my family who made it a lot easier to shoot Terena with smiles. And lastly, thank you baby Terena for being a good girl! I love you baby. x
I’m looking forward to see the photos! And I hope all of you had fun like I did.

Healthy skin during and after pregnancy
I’ve had clear skin before and during my pregnancy. But I’ve been getting acnes since my last trimester or so after giving birth. Beside the hormonal changes, it’s also the stress and tiredness of being a new parenthood that can be the causes of ance. I also have drier skin after I gave birth to my baby girl. Acne and dry skin, both are my nightmare. And trust me, it’s not easy to get rid of them especially during and after your pregnancy. Some of these stupid acne just won’t go away and worst of all, they turn into dark spots. Unfortunately I have experienced that a little bit even though I take a good care of my skin. Good but not good enough. Now I’m taking EXTRA care of my skin and it really helps. Beauty is vain, really vain. You won’t look ugly if you are not lazy.
So here are some of my easy tips on how to take care of your skin throughout and after your pregnancy.
1) Stretch mark cream/oil is a must.
I applied them 2-3 times daily during my pregnancy and after birth. Apply EVERYDAY on your body especially tummy, backside, and thigh. Don’t be lazy and don’t think that those stretch marks won’t appear on your legs and arms too. I compared myself with those who didn’t put these cream regularly, and the difference is big.
2) Use only mild cleanser.
Clean your face maximum twice a day with mild cleanser and try not to scrub at all. Be very gentle to your skin. Skin during pregnancy can be very sensitive and you may have rashes or red, flaky patches on the face so I highly recommend you to use very mild products (and fragrance-free) not only for facial cleanser but also body soap etc. You may consider something organic.
3) Avoid certain foods.
Those that are high in saturated fats are not good. Soft drinks and sweets for examples. I think it would be tough. I’ve had bad craving for chocolate and ice-cream throughout my pregnancy but I did control myself somehow. Drink plenty of water and stay in a healthy diet. Fruits help too.
Hope these tips help. Have a beautiful skin always and happy weekend.

Black Magic for Skin
I found myself a new place to pamper and take a good short break from the hustle & bustle of work and looking after my baby. Please take note this is not an ad.
It’s Porcelain the Face Spa.
There are many good reviews about their treatments so I decided to give it a try. I have a good first impression when I stepped inside. The place is cozy, clean, friendly and they play good jazz and classical.
I’ll leave a surprise to you by not uploading any more pictures. You will get what I mean when you step in yourself.
My first treatment was Black Magic IPL and The Pick Me up. It took about 90 minutes. My skin seem more radiant, firm, and pores look much smaller. My skin is now looking more clear and fresh. Thank you for not disappointing me.
You can read more about their treatment here.

Fairy Dance by Anna Sui
I’m glad I could make it to Anna Sui’s private event at Novus restaurant & bar at Singapore’s National Museum. It was the launch of Anna Sui’s new fragrance, Fairy Dance. The place was decorated with pink roses to go with the concept of a fairy tale. The event began with the welcome speech, then followed by fun activities, cocktails food and drinks. It was a refreshing afternoon and I also enjoyed the “Fairy Dance” experience. Thank you for a lovely time.
I remember my very first makeup purchase was from Anna Sui and I was 15. It was a pressed powder with a glittery shade of lavender, together with other makeup accessories such as a mirror etc. Pretty much love the packaging and her signature rose scent until now.
With Carina from Cosmopolitan.
Soft pink dress from Miu Miu. Neon pink lips by Mac.
More about Fairy Dance,
“It’s a warm, shimmering, seductive fragrance. One that captures good times, lighthearted laughter, and a girl’s yearning for her deepest wishes to come true. It’s a celebration of life and joy, happiness and radiance… all imagined within an enchanted fairytale garden”- Anna Sui
This all-new flacon captures the three-sided dimples of the original Secret Wish bottle, with the fairy perched on top, but it is curvier, smoother, and definitely luxurious with a soft peachy juice that captures the sunlight of the garden.
Fairy Dance has the top notes of Tangerine, Mango and Pink Pepper; a heart of Rose, Peony and Bamboo, it creates a fresh. The base notes of Sandalwood, Vetiver and Vanilla. Available now at TakaShimaya D.S., BHG Bugis, Isetan Scotts and Katong.
Now take my hand and let’s dance together.
